"HADO" is written as "the way of the blade." In Japan, "way" refers to the attitude of a person steadily moving forward, such as in the tea ceremony, flower arrangement, and martial arts.
It means taking one step at a time and striving for the highest peak.
We will continue to create products that "walk the path of the blade with dignity," never forgetting our pride as craftsmen.
The blade is made of Yasugi steel White steel No. 2, which is sharp and easy to sharpen, and is the basis and foundation of Japanese forged knives.
The blade is forged and hardened by Sakai traditional craftsman Yoshikazu Tanaka, and then carved by blade sharpener Tadataka Maruyama.
The "Sumi" series is a powerful-looking knife with a hardened black surface and forging marks remaining.
This model features a wiped lacquer oak octagonal handle, giving it a heavy, dignified appearance.
Specifications: Each knife is handmade, so the size, weight, and blade finish may vary.
