Hello from Miura Knives!

Starting this month, we’ll be bringing you the Monthly Miura Custom Shop at the end of every month.

Each issue will give you an early look at a selection of featured knives from the Miura Custom Shop, fitted with custom handles and scheduled for release at the beginning of the following month.

All featured knives will be released simultaneously on our online store at the announced date and time.

We do not accept pre-orders or reservations for these knives.

Most of them are one-of-a-kind pieces, so if something catches your eye, don’t miss your chance.

Our first release, for October, is scheduled for:

October 6 at 11:00 AM (JST)

This month’s highlights are:

Satoshi Nakagawa — Ginsan Damascus
and
Naoto Myojin — Cobalt Special

Satoshi Nakagawa | Ginsan Damascus

These Ginsan Damascus knives were originally made for our Miura “HAI” series and have been given a shining black-dyed finish.

The combination of the Damascus pattern and black finish creates a distinctive and beautiful appearance.

This release includes:

Gyuto 240mm × 1
Gyuto 210mm × 1
Petty 150mm × 1

Naoto Myojin | Cobalt Special

These knives are sharpened by Naoto Myojin, who could easily be described as one of the hottest sharpeners in the Japanese knife world right now.

The blades are extremely thin, with a simple and understated finish.

And that simplicity is exactly what makes the custom handles stand out.

For this release, we have prepared three Bunka and one Gyuto, each fitted with a different custom handle.

Even with the same blade, changing the handle can completely transform the character of the knife.

In addition to the knives featured here, several other Custom Shop pieces are also scheduled for release.
