It uses Kiso Sawara, one of the five Kiso trees grown in the Kiso region of Nagano Prefecture.

Due to its beauty and excellent functionality, it has been designated as a traditional craft material "Owari Buddhist Altar" by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The wood used is water-resistant and has little warping (deformation).

This product uses carefully selected, particularly high-quality materials that were milled approximately 50 years ago.

Sawara is not only very light and easy to handle, but also has natural antibacterial properties that make it easy to keep clean.

Perfect for use in the kitchen.

In addition, the wood has a subtle scent, so the smell does not easily transfer to food.

It is also a soft coniferous wood that is less likely to damage the edge of a knife.

You can use it with confidence in your daily cooking.

It was handcrafted by Tatematsu Noriyoshi, a traditional craftsman of Owari Buddhist altar fittings.

Each piece is carefully crafted, giving it a warmth and individuality not found in mass-produced items.

You can feel it.

The surface is coated with a special oil that has passed food safety standards testing.

You can be reassured it can be used safely and securely.

Furthermore, if the surface becomes damaged, we also offer a "re-sanding service."

It can be used for a long time due to its exceptional durability.

It can be used not only as a cutting board but also as a trivet.

The more you use it, the more it will fit your style and the more you will grow to love it, until it becomes a piece that is uniquely yours.

*This product is made of natural solid wood.

Please avoid using dishwashers, dish dryers, and direct sunlight.
